On Jan. 27, Shaun Boyd of CBS4 interviewed Sen. Cory Gardner. According to Boyd, the senator stated that many of the phone calls he is receiving are from “paid protesters from other parts of the country.”
Everyone I know is calling Gardner regularly, and we all know about the proliferation of fake news. I would like Gardner to share with his constituents any evidence he has that his calls are not from legitimate voters.

I’m shocked to hear of Sen. Cory Gardner’s displeasure with phone calls and e-mails from Americans who live outside Colorado. And I’m disappointed that he writes them off as irrelevant or the work of paid protesters.
I’m a taxpayer and citizen of the United States who lives in Mississippi. I’m not a paid protester, lobbyist, or a party activist. My federal taxes pay for Gardner’s salary, offices, travel and expenses. He works for me and for all Americans. The senator accepts campaign contributions from individuals, corporations and PACs from all across America. Why not accept and honor comments from all Americans?
