A small anti-fascist group marched from Denver’s Cheesman Park to the Colorado Capitol to demonstrate against both Democrats and Republicans, police violence, racial injustice and more on Wednesday following the inauguration of President Joe Biden.
Later, another event billed as the Colorado Inauguration March and rally took place at the Capitol in what organizers described as a peaceful event to fight for Black, Indigenous and Latinx lives.
Denver police reported arresting two adult male demonstrators on weapons charges in the area of Cheesman Park around 10:45 a.m.
President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were sworn into office on Wednesdy in Washington, D.C.
