Demonstrators gathered at Denver International Airport late Saturday afternoon to protest President Donald Trump’s orders to temporarily ban refugees from entering the U.S.
On Facebook, organizers had asked people to wear all red, white or blue and to bring signs with the words “I am _____, and I come in peace.”
DIA issued a statement warning that protests were illegal at the airport without a proper permit.
Earlier, immigration attorneys were on hand in case they were needed by any passengers on incoming international flights.
Denver Post reporter David Migoya is tweeting from the airport as the situation develops.
