Denver police arrested one protester after a group of people obstructed traffic on several Denver streets Friday night.

The police alerted motorists to the protesters, who surged into Colfax Avenue and Speer Boulevard at about 7 p.m. The protest went until about 9 p.m.

No injuries were reported, police spokesman John White said. The one arrest was made on Champa Street between 15th and 16th streets.

This demonstration was unrelated to the peaceful protests that took place during the day, White said.
