Denver Mayor Michael Hancock gave a press conference ahead of the city’s stay-at-home order expiring on Friday. Watch it below to see how the mayor plans to allow the city’s businesses to reopen starting Saturday.
As of yesterday, the number of coronavirus-related deaths has surpassed 850 in Colorado with more than 17,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
As the state begins to reopen, many businesses are still quiet despite being allowed to open at 50% capacity with social distancing in place. In addition, many cities and counties are requiring people to wear masks while inside public places.
Despite social distancing making the usual Cinco de Mayo celebrations impossible, there are several restaurants offering special carry-out deals that include tacos and margaritas for at-home celebrations.
